JAM with Latin is more than a classroom it is a support system in your personal educational journey.
JAM with Latin is great for Latin learners because it teaches the fundamentals of Latin grammar. Our classes start in the beginner's classroom for ages 9-12, introducing vocabulary and grammar to help students become avid learners of Robert Henle's Latin grammar. With these tools, you can go on to study any language in the world!

I have a passion for teaching my own children as well as those who wish to learn Latin. That is why I created jamwithlatin.digitalchalk.com. This is the JAM classroom which allows you to learn Latin with the use of Robert Henle's First Year Latin text as well as short video lessons, review charts, tests, and quizzes. A complete online learning experience.

For all my homeschooling peeps out there struggling to teach your child Latin, especially with Classical Conversations, JAM with Latin has become a lifesaver in our house. Yes, it cost us extra, but seriously, the short videos, the organized, well formated exercises and answer keys, etc are SO worth it. If you've been on the fence, just do it! I wish I would have just bit the bullet at the beginning of the year!

In 1997 I received my secondary teaching degree from Salve Regina University. In various homeschool programs I have taught Latin for 10 years. Since 2019 JAM with Latin has been online classroom. The state of Florida will not accept any of these accreditations.

Beginner JAM with Latin Novus I
Do you want something engaging and fun to start teaching Latin before entering Challenge A? Here is a class that is the basic building block to many foreign languages and to our own English grammar. This class also builds the vocabulary needed for the first year in Henle Latin.
This classroom is for ages 9-12. I do recommend doing this in 6th grade when students are able to work on their own. It includes 2-3 minute videos each day as well as homework pages and links to Quizlet.com review flashcards. Class A
Begin your Latin journey with Class A. This is where to start if you are going into Challenge A. This is separate from the Director/Parent Class A, which is a combo of this class & the boot camp.
Great for 7th or 8th graders who are just starting out with Latin. It is the year to memorize vocabulary and understand structure.
You will need the Henle textbook & Henle Grammar book.

The first 15 weeks are a review of Class A in this class. This is to ensure comprehension. Then the students move into Lessons 16-29 for the second semester. For the boot camp, class combo, go to Director/Parent Class B under the boot camp tab.
Great for 8th or 9th graders who have finished Class A or Challenge A. Here you will further your knowledge of the basics and really dive into translating.
You will need the Henle textbook, grammar book, and answer key.

In Class C, the first 15 weeks cover Lessons 1-29. This ensures understanding and the certainty of memorizing all the parts of Latin. I recommend doing Class B if you are in 9th grade and have never done Latin before. For the boot camp class combo, go to Director/Parent Class C under the boot camp tab.

I want to equip directors teaching the Henle Latin book with the most comprehensive classroom available. The combo class is $175. This includes a 7 week prerecorded boot camp & the entire class level of your choice.

This combo class is for the adult who is leading Robert Henle's Lessons 1-15. The adult can be a director of a community or a parent at home.
The adult portion has prerecorded 7, 1 hour videos which teaches the adult quickly. There is also homework just for the adult as well as printable PDF's to refer to visually.
A Director Lesson plan for the first 15 weeks of school has been added 8/1/23.
I will show the adult the patterns of Latin, give you ideas to use in class, and give you the confidence to talk with others about the joy of Latin.
A bonus is that if you have a student at this level, there is full access to the 30 weeks of teaching videos.
This option also includes the lifetime subscription of the student's Class A Lessons 1-15 that will grant you access to all of the JAM with Latin tools throughout the year.

JAM with Latin has created a color coded chart book of Lessons 1- 42. This is to be used along with the Henle textbook as a daily reference. The JAM with Latin Chart book is available at amazon for just $8.92 which is simply the cost to print the 52 pages in color. All classrooms also have a pdf version of this book so you can print at home.
